LocalBitcoins has been closed

We are sad to inform that LocalBitcoins does no longer provide its Bitcoin trading service.

In case you think that you have an account with bitcoin balance, please log in to your account, and make a withdrawal request as soon as possible.

Starting 1 July 2025, no maintenance fees will be charged on customer assets. This will remain in effect until the company has obtained a MiCA license. Please note that a regular transaction fee will apply to all withdrawals. More information about these fees can be found on the fees page.

We encourage all customers who believe they still have a Bitcoin balance to log in and submit a withdrawal request as soon as possible.

Timeline for discontinuing the Bitcoin trading service:

• 2023-02-09 Suspension of new sign ups
• 2023-02-16
  • Suspension of trading on LocalBitcoins
  • Suspension of using LocalBitcoins wallet (with exception of withdrawing one's funds)
• After 2023-02-17 LocalBitcoins customers will only be able to log-in to withdraw their Bitcoins. The trading and Wallet services will no longer be available at this point.
• 2025-07-01 Suspension of maintenance fees
• After 2025-07-01 Starting 1 July 2025, no maintenance fees will be charged on customer assets. This will remain in effect until the company has obtained a MiCA license. Please note that a regular transaction fee will apply to all withdrawals. More information about these fees can be found on the fees page.
